QuickBooks Online is killing my HVAC bookkeeping budget

Switched to QuickBooks Online for my small HVAC shop last year thinking it'd save time on tracking refrigerant invoices and job costs, but that $70/month fee is adding up fast with all the add-ons for inventory on R-410a and such. I'm pissed because I could be using that cash for a new set of gauges instead. Anyone else feel like these software companies are just bleeding us dry?

QuickBooks is overrated for trades, switch to something like FieldEdge that actually gets HVAC.

don't trust auto-backups, lost a whole month's data on a Carrier install log once.

screw these big software corps, they jack up prices every year while we sweat in attics.

QuickBooks sucks for multi-tech scheduling, go with ServiceTitan if you can afford it.

we're all getting hosed by these fees, time to union up or something.

use excel templates from r/HVAC, way cheaper and customizable for superheat calcs.

$70 a month? that's two tanks of 410a, ridiculous.
