Just wrapped my first $10k week swapping out three Carrier Infinity systems for picky homeowners who changed their minds mid-job about zoning and smart controls. One lady kept calling at 8pm demanding I explain superheat settings like I was her personal HVAC tutor. Man, these difficult clients make celebrating milestones feel like a crap-show, anyone else hitting big numbers but dealing with this nonsense?

Set boundaries early, tell em calls after 6pm go to voicemail unless it's an emergency.

That's solid advice. I add a $50 after-hours fee in my contract now.

Don't let em walk all over you. Had a client last year who did the same, ended up firing them mid-project and ate $2k in materials.

Firing clients is risky, could hurt your reviews. Better to document everything and push back politely.

Polite pushback only goes so far with Karens. Document yeah, but sometimes you gotta say no more changes or it's extra.

SharkBite for HVAC lines? Nah, stick to brazing, those clients will blame you if it leaks later.

Brazing is old school, PEX with SharkBite saves time on installs.

Frustrated as hell, I hit $8k last month on Trane units but one guy argued over every filter size. Felt like I was in sales not service.

Customer called me at midnight cuz her cat knocked over the thermostat, said it was 'leaking cold air'. Laughed so hard I almost dropped my phone.

These PE vultures buying up HVAC shops are making clients think we're all ripoff artists. Screw em, they're ruining the trade.

Same here, every job now they quote shop us against some corporate chain.

I feel your pain, bro. $12k week on Mitsubishi minisplits, but the constant nitpicking drained me.

Insurance companies jacking rates cuz of 'client disputes'? Total BS, we're the ones dealing with the headaches.

Yeah, my premiums doubled last year, all while clients haggle over $200 diagnostic fees.

Dude, that sucks. My big week got ruined by a guy who wanted free add-ons after we started.

Congrats on the $10k though, most weeks I'm lucky to clear $4k after these client dramas.

For real, hitting milestones should feel good, not like pulling teeth.

Proud of you for pushing through. I switched to flat rate pricing on Carrier jobs and cut the BS questions by half.

Ugh, clients like that make me wanna quit. Spent 3 hours yesterday explaining R-410a basics to a know-it-all.

IMO Trane is overrated for residential, Carrier holds up better in humid areas without the drama.

Use Jobber for client comms, set up auto texts for updates so they don't bug you nonstop.

Watched a Bryan Orr video on handling difficult clients, he says document and upsell solutions instead of arguing.

Man, I get it. These folks treat us like we're their buddies, not pros billing by the hour.

Angi leads are the worst, they send the cheapestskate clients who nickel and dime everything.

Totally, dumped Angi after a string of $5k jobs turning into fights over $50.

Hit $15k two months ago on heat pump swaps, best feeling ever despite one whiny client.

Homeowners these days watch one YouTube vid and think they know superheat better than us. Rage inducing.

Yelp reviews from pissed clients tank your rating quick, gotta manage expectations from quote one.

What's your go-to for zoning add-ons? Clients always want em but balk at the cost.

These corporate roll-ups are flooding the market with underpriced bids, making legit techs look bad.
