Been using QuickBooks Online for my HVAC bookkeeping the last 5 years to track all the refrigerant logs and service contracts, but it glitched out on categorizing my liability insurance deductions last quarter. Ended up with a mess during tax time and had to pay my CPA an extra $1500 just to sort it. Don't sleep on double-checking your software against actual HVAC job sheets, or you'll get screwed like I did.

QuickBooks is overrated for trades like us, switch to ServiceTitan if you want real integration with your R-410a inventory and won't fight me on it.

ServiceTitan's a cash grab, those PE vultures are buying up every HVAC shop they can and jacking prices. We small guys get screwed every time, stick to spreadsheets if you have to.

switched to freshbooks three years back and havent looked at quickbooks since, kept my pest control books clean and dodged every audit bullet.
