Got called out to a house where the homeowner shelled out $4500 for a new Trane XR16 thinking it was gonna solve all their cooling woes. Turns out the install crew forgot to charge the lines with R-410A properly, so the thing froze up solid on day two. Had to laugh while I was fixing it, explained to the guy it was like buying a Ferrari and running it on diesel. NGL, worst part was the customer blaming me for the original screw-up.

proud moment when you turn a botched Trane install into a repeat customer, charged him $800 for the fix and now he refers all his neighbors.

same here, fixed a similar R-410A mess last month and the guy sent over three jobs, easy money.

upside down coil? damn, i gotta top that with the time someone put the condenser on the roof without a pad, vibrated loose in a week.
