Just got hit with another price bump on QuickBooks Online, now it's $75 a month for the essentials plan we need to track all our Trane installs and R-410a refrigerant costs. Switched from desktop last year thinking it'd be easier for service calls but damn, this inflation is killing small shops like mine. Who's got a better alternative that actually integrates with Jobber without breaking the bank?

FML, same here - been paying through the nose for years and they just keep jacking it up on us independents.

Yeah it's bullshit, I told my accountant to find something else but he swears by it for the HVAC inventory tracking. Switched to Xero last quarter and it's been a pain syncing the superheat logs.

Tried ditching it for FreshBooks but lost half my time on payroll for the techs.

FreshBooks is a joke for multi-location jobs, sticks you with clunky reports. Payroll ate two days last month alone.

Exactly, can't even handle basic DFU calcs without custom add-ons that cost extra.

SharkBite for bookkeeping? Nah, but seriously, QuickBooks ain't the only game - Wave is free and handles most HVAC invoicing fine.

Boss called me at 3am to fix a frozen coil job, and now I'm buried in receipts trying to code it right in QB. What a life.

Haha, sounds like my Tuesday - customer texts pic of ice everywhere and I'm like, great, more data entry hell.

I feel your pain, been using it 5 years and every update breaks the integration with our Carrier parts database.

Wave works great until you hit 100 invoices a month, then it's throttled and you're back to square one.

Hit 6 figures last year by dumping QB for a simple Excel setup tied to Housecall Pro - saved $500 easy.

Private equity vultures buying up software like ServiceTitan and hiking prices to squeeze us dry. Time to unionize the trades or something.

Remember that time I entered a whole duct replacement wrong and owed taxes on phantom income? Classic QB glitch, laughed it off with a beer.

Same boat, my mini-split installs are killing me on the tracking side - anyone else buried under paperwork?

Tried Zoho once, free tier was decent for quoting but premium hit like a refrigerant leak - avoid.

Upgraded to QB Premier for $120/month thinking it'd fix everything, nope - still a crap-show for zoning system bids.
