another day wrangling impossible hvac clients

man, i had this one call today where the lady swore her carrier infinity was busted but it was just her damn thermostat set wrong. spent 45 minutes explaining superheat and subcool to her while she kept interrupting about her allergies. these homeowners think we're miracle workers but won't listen when we say check the filters first. grabbed my ridgid seesnake to scope the ducts and found a nest of dust bunnies clogging the return. by the end i was soaked in sweat and she still asked if i could 'throw in' a freon top-off for free. saw a similar rant in the hvac techs network group last week, feels like every job now. tbh im starting to dread the phone ringing on service calls like this.

fuck these entitled homeowners, they treat us like servants half the time.
