I've been running my own HVAC outfit for 8 years now, and out here in Arizona the summer heat waves make scheduling a total crap-show. Customers panic when their Trane units crap out at 110 degrees, so I'm juggling 5-6 service calls a day, but half the time they're DIY mini-split jobs gone wrong and I gotta explain why their Blueridge head unit is frozen solid from bad superheat. We use Housecall Pro for routing, but it keeps glitching on the multi-stop plans, and I'm losing hours driving between Phoenix and Tucson. Anyone got tips on better software that handles HVAC-specific stuff like refrigerant recovery logs? Saw a post in the HVAC Techs Network Facebook group about OptimoRoute working wonders, but not sure if it's worth the switch. FML, my back's killing me from all the overtime.

Housecall Pro sucks for anything over 3 trucks, just dump it and go with ServiceTitan even if it costs more.

Haha, mini-split DIYers are the worst, had one guy last week who wired his own 240V line and blew the breaker. I just laugh and charge double for the fix.

Same, bro. Arizona heat turns them into idiots thinking YouTube makes 'em pros.

Double the charge is right, but document everything or they sue.

Lol, I tell 'em upfront: 'You save $500 installin' yourself, but now it's $2k to unfuck.' They still cry.

Try Route4Me, integrates with Google Maps better for HVAC routes and it's cheaper than Housecall.

Those DIY mini-splits are a plague, always low on R-410a because they skip the evac.

We switched to Workiz and never looked back, handles quotes and scheduling in one app.

FieldEdge has HVAC templates for superheat calcs right in the app, worth the $100/month.

Insurance companies are jacking up premiums because of all these botched installs, we're all screwed.

Never trust a DIYer with Viega lines on a heat pump, always leaks.

Don't quote flat rate on mini-splits till you see the install, T&M every time.

Watched a Bryan Orr video on HVACSchool about routing, changed my whole game.

OptimoRoute is garbage for traffic-heavy areas like Phoenix.

Scheduling software? Just use a damn whiteboard, techs actually follow it.
