Man, I'm so pissed doing cold outreach to upsell Carrier Infinity heat pumps to existing clients up here in zone 5 Michigan winters, and half the time they ghost me after I quote $8k for the swap. Spent two hours yesterday knocking on doors in the suburbs, pitching how it'll cut their bills by 30%, but these homeowners just slam the door or say they're good with their old furnace. Watched a Bryan Orr video on HVAC School about better scripts, but nothing's clicking for me this season. It's like pulling teeth to get them to even listen, let alone book a consult. Anyone else raging over this crap? Feels like a total waste of my afternoon. Edit: finally got one yes, but it took 15 doors.
try leadin with the rebate info first, like how uncle sam's throwin in up to $2000 for those carrier infinity swaps in zone 5. got me a couple bites last month when i mentioned it before the price tag.

try leading with the rebate angle instead of the price upfront, those federal incentives can knock $2k-3k off a carrier infinity install and make the $8k sound way less scary. homeowners up here in zone 5 dont bite on bill savings talk cuz theyve heard it all, but cash back? that gets em listening. i switched my script to mention the energy star rebates first and my close rate jumped from 5% to 15% on cold calls. pair it with a quick superheat demo on your phone to show em the efficiency without the jargon overload.

what kinda script tweaks did you pull from that bryan orr video that almost worked?
