I'm so over these cheap van wraps peeling off after a few months of crawling under houses and dodging tree branches on service calls. Been doing HVAC installs and repairs out here in Arizona the heat just kills the adhesive every time. Now I'm eyeing a used Ford Transit for $28k to wrap properly and maybe add a ladder rack for the Trane units we haul around. Hiring a new helper means we need more reliable fleet to keep the two-man teams moving without breakdowns. The last wrap job cost me $1.5k to redo and it was still crap after the summer. Anyone else fed up with this BS or am I just picking the wrong vinyl supplier?

switch to 3m 2080 vinyl on that ford transit, it holds up way better in arizona heat without peeling after a year. skip the cheap suppliers and get it done at a local shop for under $4k total.

don't switch to a full truck without checking the frame rust first, had a transit that looked solid but rusted out after two years in the arizona heat and left us stranded on a service call. wraps are bad enough, but a breakdown with trane units in the back will cost you way more than $1.5k to fix.

my last wrap turned into a giant peeling sticker after one monsoon, now the van looks like it lost a fight with a cactus out here in arizona 😂

man, same crap with my roofing truck wraps out here, they peel off faster than a bad shingle job in the sun. spent $2k fixing mine last year and it still looks like hell after one season.

goddamn vinyl companies are the WORST, charging premium prices for shit that peels off faster than a bad sunburn in arizona heat. i've wasted thousands redoing wraps on my transit every summer because those cheap bastards cut corners on adhesive. screw 'em, time to go full truck and never look back.

those damn wraps are a total scam out here too, spent $2k last year on some 'premium' 3m vinyl and its already flaking off from the dry heat and road salt, switching to a full truck soon or im done with this crap.

stick with vans if you can but dont skimp on the vinyl supplier or youll be redoing that wrap every six months like i did last year and nearly lost a finger scraping off the old crap in the heat.

van wraps are a total scam in this heat, just slap on some basic vinyl lettering for under $800 and save the headache of constant peel-offs from crappy suppliers.

my van wrap peeled off so bad last summer in the az heat it looked like the truck was molting, now i just slap on some magnetic signs and call it 'distressed vintage' 😂

goddamn vinyl companies peddling that cheap crap just to watch it bubble up in the arizona sun while we're out here sweating our asses off. screw wraps altogether, im about ready to slap some magnets on the doors and call it a day before i waste another dime on this peel-and-stick nightmare.

goddamn wraps are a total scam cooked up by those slick vinyl companies that don't give a shit about us crawling under houses in 110 degree arizona heat. i've wasted over 2k on two different suppliers last year and both peeled like a bad sunburn after one brutal summer hauling carrier coils. now the pe vultures are buying up shops and forcing even crappier fleet standards to cut costs, leaving us techs looking like amateurs on every call. screw that noise, i'm with you on ditching the vans for a solid transit that can actually take the abuse without turning into a rolling billboard disaster. what's the worst wrap fail you've dealt with on a service run?

man, nothing says 'professional hvac crew' like vinyl flakes stuck to your boots after every crawl space job - arizona heat turns wraps into confetti faster than a cheap divorce.

Hah, my wrap looked like a toddler finger-painted it after one monsoon season hauling ductwork.

goddamn wraps are a money pit. I ditched mine last year and went bare metal with magnetic signs, saved a ton on repairs.

Switch to 3M vinyl, it's pricier upfront but holds up in hot climates like yours. Get a local shop that specializes in fleet for the install.

3M is solid, but test a small section first on your van.

Agreed, 3M lasted 4 years on my rig before fading.

LOL my first wrap bubbled up so bad I thought it was a bubble wrap prank from the boys.

Bubbles? Mine straight up melted onto the fender during a 110 degree day.

those damn wrap companies charge an arm and a leg and then it peels off in the heat like its made of tissue paper. screw em, im going full truck next time and never looking back.

man i feel you on the fleet headaches, every breakdown means lost billable hours on those emergency AC fixes.

same here, can't afford downtime when the summer calls are pouring in.

yep, fleet issues are killing small ops like ours, especially with all the refrigerant recovery gear weighing down the suspension.

don't buy used without a full inspection, had a transmission go out on a 'reliable' transit after 2 months and it cost me 4k in towing and repairs alone.

this shit pisses me off too, insurance quoted me double for wrapped vans last renewal because they claim higher visibility means more accidents. what a joke.
