Man, just got hit with another round of insurance premiums because my EPA 608 is up for renewal and they want proof of everything. Been sweating over the online course for the refrigerant handling section, but damn if it doesn't feel like jumping through hoops just to keep the Carrier systems I install legal. A buddy told me about some group discount through a trade org, but I'm too buried in service calls to chase it down. The whole licensing thing is killing my motivation some days, especially when you're out there brazing lines all day in the heat. Anyone got tips on streamlining this crap?

insurance companies are straight up vampires, jacking up premiums every time you blink on that epa 608 renewal while we're out here busting our asses in the heat for peanuts.

Look into the NATE recert bundle, it covers EPA and gives you a discount on liability insurance if you bundle with their partners.

NATE's bundle saved me a ton last year, definitely worth the paperwork.

Same here, every renewal feels like a kick in the teeth. I just renewed mine last month and the insurer jacked my rates anyway.

Haha, I let mine lapse once and the customer thought I was some backyard hack installing their new Trane. Had to explain it was just a paperwork glitch while sweating bullets.

Dude, what'd the customer say when you finally showed the cert?

Insurance companies are screwing us all with these cert requirements.

How do you track all the continuing ed hours without losing your mind? I use an app but it still sucks.
