Hey folks, I'm a solo HVAC tech in north Jersey, zone 5 winters hit us hard with constant furnace calls and my old manual scheduling is killing me. I just quoted a $4500 boiler replacement job but had to turn down two more because I couldn't juggle the routes. Looking at ServiceTitan, heard it's great for dispatching techs but the setup fee is $1500 and monthly is another $300. Does it integrate well with my Trane inventory system or should I stick with something cheaper like Housecall Pro? Anyone else made the switch and seen real time savings on those emergency AC repairs?

servicetitan is a damn cash grab by those pe vultures preying on small shops like ours, stick with housecall pro before they bleed you dry on bullshit fees.

man, that manual scheduling grind is a real pain when you're solo and the zone 5 calls keep piling up. i was in the same boat last winter, turning down jobs left and right cuz i couldnt keep the routes straight. service titan setup felt like a kick in the teeth with that $1500 fee, but it didnt save me near as much time as i hoped for those emergency repairs. ended up sticking with housecall pro after a trial run, way less hassle for us small outfits. been there, brother, dont let it bury you.

switched to servicetitan last year and its been a total crapshoot, that $1500 setup fee barely covers the headaches from their glitchy dispatching that left me stranded on a zone 5 callout while jobs piled up.

ServiceTitan's just another PE-backed cash grab preying on us small guys trying to stay afloat in this zone 5 grind. they charge an arm and a leg for features half of us dont even need, while we're out here busting our asses on furnace calls that pay peanuts. i know a couple solo techs who switched and ended up wasting hours fighting the damn interface instead of turning wrenches. those $1500 setup plus $300 a month fees? it's like they're laughing at our profit margins. housecall pro's way simpler and cheaper, integrates fine with Trane without the headache. screw these big software vampires sucking the life out of the trades. if you're solo, stick to what works and dont let em nickel and dime you into oblivion.

how long did it take you to get service titan up and running after that $1500 hit? i heard it syncs okay with quickbooks but whats the deal with trane integration, any glitches? been eyeing housecall pro myself but dont wanna regret cheaping out on emergencies.

service titan's a total pain in the ass for us smaller outfits, i switched last year and the $1500 setup felt like highway robbery just to end up with buggy dispatching that couldnt handle my basic paint job routes. now im paying $300 a month for features i dont even use, and integration with my quickbooks was a nightmare. shoulda stuck with housecall pro, its simpler and doesnt suck your wallet dry. wish i could go back, man.

ServiceTitan is a total cash grab, they nickel and dime you on every damn feature while pretending to 'optimize' your HVAC ops. Switched back to FieldEdge after they jacked up my bill 40% - same scheduling headaches but without the PE overlords breathing down your neck.
