I work mostly in rural Ohio and trying to keep track of our HVAC installs and service calls without losing my mind on scheduling. Switched to Housecall Pro last year thinking it'd streamline everything from quoting heat pump jobs to dispatching techs for Trane unit repairs, but now it's a crap-show with double bookings and the app crashing during peak summer AC rushes. The guys are pissed because they can't see real-time updates on R-410a recharge jobs, and I'm wasting hours fixing the bullshit instead of actually working. We've got three vans out there daily, and this software is making us look like amateurs to customers. Anyone found something better that actually works for small crews like mine?

man, housecall pro turned into a total nightmare for me too, double bookings screwing up my whole schedule last season. the techs were yelling at me cuz they couldnt see where to go next, and i spent more time on the damn app than painting. been there with the crashes during rush times, its bullshit. feels like every software promises the world but delivers headaches for small crews.

housecall pro turned me into the office bitch, chasing glitches while the real techs are out sweating balls on those ac calls. if it crashes one more time im just gonna go back to scribblin schedules on a napkin like the old days 😂

try service fusion instead, it's way better for dispatching small hvac crews in rural spots without the crashes, and our three guys love the real-time updates on recharge jobs.

housecall pro is a total scam for us field guys, turning simple hvac runs into endless headaches that make you wanna chuck your phone out the van window. i'm with you on this crap, it's like they designed it to screw over small crews in places like rural ohio where signal drops half the time anyway. these software companies don't give a damn about real jobs, just raking in subscription fees while we're out there sweating over r-410a leaks and double bookings. the pe vultures buying up these tools are making it worse, prioritizing upsells over actual functionality that keeps techs from looking like idiots to customers. i've seen whole teams quit over this bullshit, and honestly, it's about time someone calls out the emperor's got no clothes. if they don't fix it soon, i'm ditching the lot and going back to paper schedules before we all lose our minds.

try fieldedge instead, it's handled our rural dispatching without the crashes and keeps real-time updates solid for three vans just like yours.

man, housecall pro turned my pest jobs into the same clusterfuck last season, double bookings everywhere and the app just freezing up. been there in rural areas where signal sucks even worse, feels like were all getting screwed by these glitchy systems.

housecall pro is straight garbage for rural routes, those double bookings screwed my crew out of three jobs last month and we're all fed up with these glitchy apps charging an arm and a leg for nothing.

housecall pro's a scam for rural ops like yours, ditch it for fieldpulse that actually handles offline dispatches without the constant crashes.

housecall pro's got me double-booking myself with my own damn coffee breaks, feels like it's running the show instead of us. switched to jobber for a week and it's like trading one headache for a migraine with extra glitter. if it crashes one more time during a freon hunt i'll be out here dispatching with carrier pigeons 😂.

yep, lost a whole afternoon last week chasing a phantom job in the sticks. these software devs have no clue about real field work.

it's the same everywhere, rural or not - these tools are built for big corps, not us grunts trying to keep the ACs humming.

exactly, and the support is garbage when you need it most, like during a heatwave.

switched to housecall pro last summer and now my crews actually finish jobs on time instead of chasin their tails in the heat, feels damn good bein the guy who fixed our mess.

damn right, these corporate software vampires like servicetitan are sucking the life out of small crews with their bullshit fees and glitches. rural ohio or not, we're all getting screwed while they cash in on our sweat.

hit 150k revenue last season after ditching the cheap apps for something solid - my techs love the mobile dispatching now.

those damn software companies keep jacking up prices and turning simple dispatching into a clusterfuck, especially when you're chasing signals out in rural ohio.

try FieldEdge, it's got solid integration for inventory tracking on refrigerant jobs and doesn't eat your data plan.

what's the biggest issue with Housecall Pro for you - the quoting part or the time tracking?

software sucks, but have you tried just going back to google calendar with shared access? works fine for my two-man team on mini-split installs.

i tell my apprentice, 'if the app crashes, just blame the customer's wifi' - saves face every time lol.
