Finally scaled my referral program to include discounts on Trane furnace installs, and damn if it hasn't doubled my leads this year. Last month alone, I closed $8k in jobs from buddies referring their neighbors for heat pump upgrades. Proud to hit that milestone without burning out on cold calls.

those referral programs sound great on paper but damn if angi and homeadvisor dont bleed you dry with their fees before you even get the lead. i tried tying in carrier incentives last summer and half my referrals ghosted me after promising the world. its all a crapshoot when homeowners flake out or decide to diy with some youtube hack job. and dont get me started on the pe vultures scooping up every solid hvac outfit that actually works. were out here bustin our asses while they jack up prices and cut corners. trane deals might boost yours now but watch em turn into another headache down the line.

hell yeah, my referrals dried up faster than a desert AC unit until i threw in some free filter swaps, now the neighbors are lining up like its black friday at home depot. had one guy refer his whole cul-de-sac, ended up installing three trane systems in a week and nearly keeled over from all the high-fives. wish i could bottle that magic instead of sweating through another summer rush. youre onto something big, keep it rolling 😂.

referrals sound great but tying em to trane discounts just screams bait and switch to me, especially when those units overheat in zone 5 winters. had a customer last year who got burned on a similar deal and now theyre badmouthing my whole crew on nextdoor. if youre gonna do this, at least throw in a free filter change or somethin real, not just corporate rebates. fight me if im wrong but itll bite you in the ass long term.

Don't get too cocky with those Trane referrals, I saw a guy lose a finger last year rushing a duct install for a bonus.
