Switched to ServiceTitan thinking it'd streamline my techs' schedules for those ductless installs, but now every route is a crapshoot because the GPS integration keeps glitching out. My guys are showing up late to mini-split jobs and I'm eating the callback costs. Watched a Bryan Orr video where he mentioned FieldEdge for better routing, but I'm locked into this mess for another year. The inventory tracking is decent for R-410A coils, but the rest feels like a half-baked system. Anyone got hacks to make it less of a nightmare? Frustrated as hell after a decade in this.
Try layering OptimoRoute over ServiceTitan for the routing glitches, it fixed my dispatch headaches on mini-split runs without ditching the inventory stuff. My techs cut late arrivals by 40% last quarter, worth the extra login.

servicetitan is straight up robbing us blind with these glitches, man, its like they design it to screw over small shops while the big boys laugh all the way to the bank. my techs waste a solid hour a day chasing routes that the gps swears are optimal but aint nowhere near. pissed that bryan orr called out fieldedge like its some savior, but im stuck too til the contract dies. we gotta start boycotting this crap before it kills the whole industry.

don't lock into service titan's contract like i did last year, it turned my dispatch into a total nightmare with callbacks costing me $2k extra on ductless jobs before i could bail.

ditch the gps integration in servicetitan and just use waze on their phones instead, saved my ass on routes last season. we had the same glitches with mini-splits in the dallas heat, techs wasting time circling blocks. link it to your google business profile for better starting points, that cut our delays in half. for inventory, i run a quick weekly audit on the r-410a stock using their mobile app, keeps callbacks from piling up. wouldnt bother with fieldedge unless youre ready to pay the switch fee, its solid for routing but the learning curve sucks. bryan orr knows his stuff, but test the hacks in a small zone first before going all in. my guys started hitting jobs 20 minutes earlier after these tweaks. if youre stuck on the contract, call their support and push for a feature update, they actually listened once.

service titan's gps is like that drunk buddy who swears he knows the way but ends up at the wrong bar every time. my techs started calling it the 'titan detour' after one guy drove 40 minutes past a simple filter change ... 😂

Try integrating OptimoRoute with it - I've been using that add-on for years and it cuts dispatch errors by half on my heat pump jobs.

OptimoRoute saved my ass during peak season. No more double-booking service calls.

Yeah, but setup takes a weekend. Worth it though if you're buried in installs.

ServiceTitan's great until it isn't - had a tech drive 45 minutes the wrong way once because of a map glitch. Laughable if it wasn't costing time.

Stuck with Housecall Pro now after ditching bigger ones. Hit 80% on-time arrivals this year, feels good to not chase my own tail.

Man, I feel you. My team's been griping about the same software delays on furnace swaps.

Same here, every glitch means I'm apologizing to clients over delayed AC tune-ups. It's exhausting.

Insurance companies love hearing about software fails - one wrong route and you're explaining why the condenser sat in traffic. Rage-inducing.

Picture this: tech arrives with the wrong manifold set because inventory said it was stocked. Customer's boiling and I'm out here playing tech support from the office. Comedy gold, right?
