so im in the Carolinas and we got this fresh apprentice starting last week, kid's 19, first real job after high school. i tell him to gear up for commercial mow at this upscale golf course, you know the ones with the bentgrass fairways that need that perfect stripe. guy rolls in wearing board shorts and flip flops, no steel toes or anything, just beach vibes. we almost lost him to a flying rock from the walk-behind, and the course manager was pissed, said it looks unprofessional as hell. now im wondering how to train these zoomers without babysitting 24/7. saw a similar rant in the Lawn Care Professionals group, everyone saying the same crap. anyone got tips for getting employees to take the job seriously from day one?
