Dropped $500 on Google ads pushing my commercial mowing services, but fake 1-star reviews from some pissed off ex-client are burying me. Those bastards in the Lawn Care Professionals FB group warned me about review bombing, but I thought my Stihl gear and solid sod installs would keep the 5-stars rolling in. Now I'm lucky if I get one lead a week - this crap is killing my biz.

Don't ignore it - one bad review can cost you thousands in lost jobs, had a buddy lose a $10k landscape contract over some BS 2-star about weeds.

Yeah, but fight back with facts. Respond publicly calling out the fake if you can prove it.

Proving fakes is tough, Google won't budge without evidence like timestamps not matching the job date.

Same here, spent weeks building my profile just for trolls to nuke it overnight.

SharkBite for irrigation? Nah, stick to PVC - way cheaper and no leaks in the long run for commercial lots.

Claim your profile if you haven't and start posting before/after pics of your turf jobs to drown out the noise.

Get on Angi too, their leads suck but reviews carry over and balance Google.

Seen this exact thing in r/landscaping, guy responded to every review with details and turned it around in a month.

Felt that, my first bad review came from a client who wanted free mulch top-off - now I include it in contracts.

Smart move, add a clause for seasonal touch-ups to avoid the entitlement crowd.

PSA: screenshot everything before responding, had Google delete a legit review once but evidence saved my ass.

Never pay for fake positives - got flagged and suspended my whole profile, worse than the bad ones.

Ask happy clients for video testimonials, upload to your Google profile - visual proof beats text rants.

This group's been my lifesaver, shared my review nightmare in Landscaping Professionals and got tips that fixed it.

Hire a service to monitor and respond? Nah, do it yourself to keep the voice authentic.

IMO reviews are BS anyway - real clients call direct after seeing my truck, not scrolling stars.
