Out here in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, just crossed $250k for the year running commercial lawn maintenance and hardscape installs with my two trucks, but damn I'm done with the 80-hour weeks and asshole clients nitpicking every edging job. Saw this YouTube video breaking down 4 steps to a great lawn, thought it'd inspire me but now I'm just pissed thinking how much easier it'd be if I wasn't buried in scheduling headaches. Anyone else hit this milestone and feel like quitting?

Try Jobber for scheduling, cut my admin time in half on those weekly mows.

Jobber's great until they hike the fees again.

Switched to Housecall Pro last year, way better for tracking crew hours on installs.

$250k is nothing, wait til PE firms start buying up landscaping outfits like they do HVAC.

PE roll-ups are ruining the game, squeezing margins on mulch and sod jobs.

Screw that, stay small and cherry-pick the high-end residential pavers.

Selling sounds tempting but who wants to train the new owner on your Stihl fleet?

Don't burn the candle at both ends, take a week off and recharge before you crash.

Easier said than done with spring installs piling up.

Heard that, my knees are gone from years of kneeling for bed prep.

Insurance premiums are killing us all, especially after one bad tree removal claim.

SharkBite for irrigation lines? Nah, stick to PVC, saves headaches down the line.

Felt this after my first $100k year, took a sabbatical and came back stronger.

Me too, shoulders wrecked from hauling boulders for those retaining walls.

Same, buried in debt from upgrading to Echo blowers and now regretting it.

Those 4 steps in the video are gold, but execution with a hungover crew? Nightmare.

Hate when HOA boards second-guess your sod choices like they know better.

Outsource the mulching to subs, frees you up for the big landscape designs.

Can't stand the 'quick fix' homeowners who skip proper soil prep.
