im a total newbie in north jersey, just started my landscaping side hustle last month and dropped $450 on a stihl fs 56 weed eater thinking it'd make me look pro. show up to mow this lady's overgrown lawn, fire it up and accidentally rev it too hard, ends up flinging rocks everywhere and chips her fancy garden gnome right in half. she comes out pissed, yelling about her 'heirloom' from grandma, and i had to eat the cost to replace it outta my own pocket. saw a similar story on r/landscaping where a guy wrecked a customer's fence, felt less alone but still sucks. anyone else got a funny first-job screwup with equipment?
