Man, I've been bustin my ass trying to break into commercial landscaping gigs out here in the Phoenix area, where slow season doesn't really exist, but property managers keep ghostin me after I send proposals for stuff like seasonal mulch refresh and irrigation tweaks with Rain Bird heads. I got a solid 4.8 on Google from residential jobs, but one bad review from a homeowner who said my crew left some clippings behind tanked my momentum, and now commercial leads are dryin up. Someone in the Lawn Care Business Owners Facebook group mentioned how they turned it around with video testimonials of before-and-after sod installs, but I'm not sure if that's worth the hassle. Anyone else feelin this pain? I watched that Mike Andes video on scaling up, and he swears by consistent online presence, but damn, it's tough when you're solo with a Stihl backpack blower and a used Toro ZTR.

goddamn PE vultures are swooping in and undercutting everyone with their bullshit rates, i cant even get a fair shake on bids anymore. lost a $15k maintenance contract last month to some rollup outfit that probably uses half-trained kids and cheap-ass mexican labor. reviews? forget it, one bad one from a picky HOA board and youre sunk, even if its total crap. been bustin my hump for 8 years building this landscaping gig and now it feels like quicksand. they dont care about quality, just volume, and locals like us get eaten alive. screw em, im thinkin of pivoting to residential only but even thats gettin saturated.
