QuickBooks Online or Xero for tracking lawn care chemical expenses?

I've been using QuickBooks Online for years to track all my sod installations and mulch jobs, but it's $50 a month and half the time it glitches when I'm entering fertilizer costs. Switched to Xero last quarter and it's smoother for categorizing those Roundup and Scotts applications, but damn if it doesn't eat up time reconciling receipts from the field. Anyone else pissed about these prices for basic bookkeeping in landscaping?

Try categorizing expenses by job type first, then QuickBooks will handle the reports better for your chem logs.

Feels like it's built for big corps, not us dirt guys.

Xero's interface sucks for mobile uploads from the truck.

Switch to desktop version if you're dealing with a lot of field data.

But then no remote access when you're on a mulch delivery.

This is why PE firms are snapping up landscaping books.

Relate hard, it's exhausting just logging the basics.

Xero integrates better with Jobber for lawn routes, worth the switch if you're scheduling mows too.

Don't skimp on backups, lost a whole season's expense data once.

These software companies are screwing over small landscaping crews left and right.
