Warning: cold outreach on social media for landscaping can backfire big time

I'm down in Louisiana and been trying cold outreach on Instagram for new lawn maintenance clients, sliding into DMs with pics of my Stihl weed eater jobs and simple pitches like 'hey, we can spruce up your commercial lot for under $200 a cut.' Had a few bites at first, but then one pissed off property manager screenshotted my message and posted it in the Landscaping Professionals FB group, calling me a spammer. Now I'm getting hate DMs and lost a potential referral from someone who saw it. Saw a similar rant on r/landscaping about this, and yeah, it kills your rep faster than a drought. Mike Andes talks about better ways on his TikTok, like building real connections first instead of blasting cold. Stick to warm leads, guys, or you'll end up blacklisted in your local network. FML.

don't cold DM unless you've commented on their posts first, or it's straight spam.
