had this nightmare client who paid $2500 for a full Toro drip irrigation setup in their backyard beds, now they're claiming it's 'ugly' and want me to tear it all out for free. i spent two days on that job, buried lines, emitters every 18 inches, everything up to code. they signed off on the quote and even picked the model. gonna lose my mind if i eat this cost.

don't let them bully you into free removal, that's a clear change order and you bill it out full rate.

exactly, i had a similar thing with a sprinkler head placement and charged them double for the redo.

double sounds right, these clients test boundaries every time.

hahaha sounds like the time a customer called me back because their Stihl trimmer 'scratched' a plastic chair.

frustrated as hell, these clients think we're landscapers not miracle workers.

tell me about it, i bill $80/hr for fixes now to cover the bs.

yep, been there with drip lines, clients never appreciate the work til it fails.

had a lady complain about weed fabric bunching under sod, ate $400 to fix it.

document everything next time, photos before and after, it saved my ass on a $3k patio pour.

fuck these entitled homeowners, they haggle on mulch delivery then whine about color match.

lol at least yours didn't demand organic-only plants after you already planted the beds.

ugh, same boat last week with a retaining wall, client said it 'looked crooked' from their deck.

we're all in this crap together, these clients treat us like disposable help.

hate when they sign the contract then ghost you on payment for the sod install.

goddamn clients ruining good days, i just walk away from red flags now.

every damn time with the backyard transformations, they want perfection for pennies.

i commiserate, lost a whole afternoon arguing over gravel depth in a fire pit.

yeah man, irrigation clients are the worst, always second guessing the psi.

sucks dude, had one try to deduct for 'not enough blooms' on perennials i just planted.

use a contract clause for changes, i added one after a $1500 fence dispute.

pissed me off reading this, reminds me of the edging job where they complained about grass clippings.

warning: always get a 50% deposit on installs over $1k, saved me from a walk-off.

yeah been there, the Toro systems are solid but clients blame you for manufacturer specs.
