Man, im in central texas and decided to throw some cash at tiktok ads for my landscaping biz, figured showing off my stihl trimmer jobs and paver installs would pull in clients. Spent $500 on videos of me edging lawns and planting natives, targeted homeowners looking for drought-resistant yards since were in zone 3 here. NGL, got like 20 views that mattered but zero actual leads, just a bunch of likes from other landscapers. Saw a post on r/landscaping where someone swore by instagram reels instead, but this feels like a waste. Anyone else bombing on social media down south? Mike Andes talks about this stuff on his youtube, but his advice aint clicking for me yet.

tiktok's a total scam for us landscapers, might as well burn that $500 on actual mulch installs instead of chasing likes from other yard guys. central texas folks aint scrollin for pros when they're dodgin heat waves, stick to yard signs and word of mouth.

tiktok's a total scam for us small guys, they push all the BS to big box landscapers and leave us with zilch while angi keeps sucking our blood dry with their fake leads.
