Been grinding on my Google Business Profile for my landscaping gigs, uploading pics of fresh sod installs and hardscape projects every week. But man, the calls I'm getting are mostly cheapo mulch jobs or folks wanting free quotes on irrigation tweaks with Rain Bird timers. I optimized it with keywords like 'commercial lawn maintenance' and even got a few 5-star reviews, but the leads still feel hit or miss. Switched to posting before-and-after shots of retaining walls, and that bumped inquiries a bit, but not enough to justify the time. Anyone else in the game seeing real bookings from this, or should I dump more cash into ads?

what kinda keywords are you targeting besides the commercial ones? tried stuff like 'retaining wall install near me' or is that not pulling better leads?

dude, same crap here with my google business profile - i post all these pics of sod jobs and patio installs, but half the calls are for some $50 weed whackin gig that aint worth the drive. feels like google's algorithm is rigged to send you the bottom-feeders no matter how much you optimize those keywords. i've been dumping an hour a week into it and still gettin mostly tire-kickers askin for free advice on their sprinkler heads. sucks when you put in the effort and it dont pay off like it should.

Focus on claiming your service area properly and add photos of specific services like edging with a Stihl trimmer to boost local pack rankings.

Same here, spent hours on it and still getting ghosted after sending proposals.

LOL my profile pic is me covered in dirt after a full yard overhaul, now clients think I'm the mulch monster and keep calling back.

Dude that sounds like a nightmare, had a guy once review bomb me over a 'too green' lawn.

Don't laugh, but yeah, weird pics can backfire - stick to pro shots or you'll end up with prank calls.

Screw Google, these big box stores dominate the local search now.
