Just wrapped up my first full year breaking $100k in landscaping revenue, mostly from mulching beds and seasonal cleanups. Switched to all Stihl equipment last spring and it's made a huge difference in how fast I knock out jobs without constant breakdowns. If you're starting out, invest in quality tools early, it pays off big time in efficiency and client referrals.

definitely get the stihl km 56 for mulching, its lightweight and cuts my time in half on those beds.

congrats on the $100k but damn those angi leads are straight up robbery, charging us an arm and a leg just to chase cheapskate homeowners who ghost after the quote.

congrats on $100k, but dont get cocky - my stihl blower tried to start a forest fire last summer, now i call it the arson artist.

stihl's km kombi system is a game changer if you're mulching alot of beds, lets you swap heads for edging or blowing without buying full units. i ran one for two seasons now and cut my tool budget by about 30% compared to separate machines. just make sure to get the lithium-ion battery setup for lighter weight on those long days. efficiency like that keeps the referrals rolling in.

Man, $100k sounds great but after fuel, maintenance, and paying that one helper I barely clear half of it. Feels like I'm spinning my wheels half the time.

Congrats on the milestone, but watch out for scaling too quick with new gear. I bought a bunch of fancy stuff last year and the payments almost sunk me before clients ramped up.

Yeah, same here. Went deep into debt on equipment for a big sod install job, then the client ghosted on half the payment. Now I'm stuck with notes I can't flip fast enough. Don't let the wins blind you to the cash flow traps.
