Job Management Software Turning Landscaping Crew Management into a Shitshow

Been running a small landscaping outfit for 8 years now, and I finally caved and signed up for Jobber to track our mulch installs and hedge trims. But damn, it's a crap-show trying to get the crew to actually use it - half the time they're out there with Echo blowers and don't bother logging the sod jobs. Watched a video from that Lawn Care Millionaire guy who swore by it for scheduling irrigation repairs, but in practice it's just adding more screen time when we should be out planting. The reporting on fertilizer applications is decent, but the constant glitches when uploading pics of retaining walls are pissing me off. Anyone else dealing with this? Feels like it's more hassle than help sometimes. Edit: Tried switching to the mobile app today and it crashed mid-route for a patio stone layout.

try tradify instead, it's simpler for logging jobs like mulch installs and won't crash on pic uploads for retaining walls.

ditch jobber before it tanks your whole operation, i saw a buddy lose an entire crew over that glitchy bullshit during a big sod install last summer. the mobile crashes arent just annoying, they leave you blind on job status and piss off the guys who cant log time right. stick to paper routes or something simple like housecall pro till they fix their crap. dont let it turn your landscaping gigs into a total cluster.

yeah man, same shit with jobber in plumbing - crew forgets to log the drain snakes half the time and it crashes on us too.

jobber's turned my whole hvac crew into zombies staring at their phones instead of fixing leaks, and dont even get me started on the app crashes during service calls.

jobber is straight up BS, they hype it like it's magic but it just turns us into screen zombies while the sod piles up. screw these software companies pushing glitches on crews that just wanna get the damn mulch in.

try tradify instead of jobber, it's way smoother for logging sod jobs and uploading pics without the glitches, been using it for my crew's mulch runs and cut our screen time in half.

jobber's basically the echo blower of software - sounds great til it clogs up and leaves you covered in digital mulch lol

jobber's just another overpriced piece of crap that promises the world but turns crew coordination into a goddamn nightmare, same as every other software these tech bros shove down our throats.

jobber's just another bloodsucking app that turns solid crews into zombie scrollers, screw their glitches and forced updates that kill the day.

jobber's a total scam, ditch it for workwave before it tanks your whole operation. i've seen too many crews waste hours fiddlin with that glitchy app instead of gettin dirt under their nails. the mobile crashes? that's just the tip, their customer support is a joke, always blamin your phone like we aint got real work. and dont get me started on the pricing, they jack it up every year without fixin the basics. honestly, stick to google sheets for scheduling mulch jobs and sod installs; it's free and doesnt crash mid-route. your echo blowers deserve better than babysittin software. if you aint switched yet, whats holdin you back?

Fuck these apps, they're all the same - promise the world but turn your day into data entry bullshit while the crew's actually doing the yard work.

Switch to LMN if Jobber's glitching out. It's built for landscaping specifics like plant inventories and seasonal cleanups, integrates way better with your Echo gear tracking. Set it up in a day and my guys actually use it now.

LMN huh, never heard of it. Does it handle the basic stuff like time sheets for tree pruning without needing a degree in IT?

lmn's solid for timesheets on pruning jobs, just hit the mobile app to clock in and out without any it hassle. sets up recurring routes in like five minutes if you skip the fancy add-ons.

Don't rely on software for everything. I use it only for big commercial bids, but keep paper logs for daily turf maintenance - saved my ass when the app went down during a drought project last summer.

Haha, sounds like my first week with Jobber - thought I'd be a tech wizard directing the mower routes, ended up yelling at my phone while the crew laughed and finished the edging without me.

Lol yeah, until the client calls wondering why the flower bed install is delayed because you fat-fingered the schedule. Tech's great until it ain't.

True, now I just let the apprentice handle the app while I focus on the actual landscaping. Best of both worlds.

How many guys on your crew? If it's under 5, maybe ditch the software and use a shared Google Sheet for sod and mulch tracking - free and no crashes.

Same here, these PE-backed software companies are jacking up prices yearly just to manage basic lawn aeration schedules. Boycott that noise and go open source if you can.

Man, I feel your pain with the glitches. Switched crews around last season because of similar Jobber headaches during busy weed control runs.

Ugh, totally get it. My back's killing me from chasing crew updates on the app instead of just walking the site for that retaining wall pour.

Tried telling my boss the same about our irrigation scheduling - he laughed and said 'welcome to modern landscaping,' but we all know it's just more ways to screw up a simple bush trim.

Watch out for over-relying on those mobile uploads. Had a job where the pics didn't save and we lost the before/after for a full yard redesign - client thought we half-assed it and withheld payment.
