Another entitled customer trying to haggle on a $150 Schlage rekey

Man, had this lady today who calls up for a simple Schlage deadbolt rekey after she lost her keys, quotes her $150 for the job and she starts whining about how that's too much when she can buy a kit at Home Depot for $20. I get it, times are tough, but I'm not doing mobile service for free just to save her a trip. By the time I'm done explaining the pins and tumblers, she's still lowballing me. FML.

Dude, same crap every weekend with the weekend warriors thinking we're hobbyists.

I just walk away at that point. Life's too short for cheapskates. Last week I lost a $200 Mul-T-Lock install over $20 haggling, and you know what? Good riddance.

How do you even quote over the phone without seeing the setup?

Happens way too often in this line of work, especially with residential calls.
