Man, subcontracting for these big moving outfits has me worried about our fleet. We're in Texas so the heat is brutal on the transmissions, and hauling all those cross-state loads in our old F-250s is wearing them down fast. Last month, two trucks were in the shop for overheating after back-to-back jobs from Dallas to Austin, and that's just not sustainable with the mileage we're racking up. I saw a tip on r/moving about maintaining fleet vehicles better, but with subcontract rates barely covering fuel, it's tough. Anyone else dealing with this crap? Someone in Moving Professionals FB group mentioned leasing instead of owning, but that sounds like a money pit too. FML, we need advice on keeping these rigs alive without going broke.

Same here, brother, our vans are falling apart from all the sub work too.
