Just started as a mover a couple months back and every damn job with a piano or heavy furniture, the customer bitches about using extra padding or shrink wrap. Like, we show up with U-Haul blankets and that heavy-duty move wrap, but they think we're trying to scam them for time. Saw a post on r/moving where someone dealt with the same crap, and it got me thinking - is this just newbie paranoia or do y'all get this constantly? Someone in the Moving Professionals Facebook group mentioned prepping clients with a checklist, but I'm still figuring out how to handle the pushback without losing the tip. TBH, it's frustrating when you're hustling to protect their stuff and they act like it's a conspiracy. Any tips from vets on diffusing this before it escalates?

Haha, right? Last week this lady made us unwrap the whole thing to 'inspect' for hidden fees. We just laughed it off and re-wrapped twice as tight.

wait your turn, Walt. but yeah, it's hilarious how they panic over a $5 blanket.

Don't get me started on the ones who insist on 'eco-friendly' packing - ends up with scratches everywhere and they're the ones crying.

watch out, that attitude gets you bad reviews fast.

this is why the industry is screwed - cheapskate homeowners treating us like we're the enemy instead of the pros saving their antique junk.

pro tip: never skip the corner protectors on those beasts, had a close call with a leg snapping off last year - liability nightmare waiting to happen.

heads up, if they push back too hard document everything with photos before and after, saves your ass in disputes every time.
