I've been running a small moving crew for 8 years now, and QuickBooks is saving my ass on tracking all the U-Haul truck rentals we use for those long-haul jobs, but figuring out how to depreciate our fleet of furniture dollies over 3 years is a pain. Last quarter I spent $2k on new U-Haul hitches alone, and I need to make sure it's all deducted right so I'm not overpaying taxes. Anyone using a good add-on for movers to automate this crap? Saw a thread on r/moving about it but the advice was all over the place.

screw u-haul apps, just slap all those rental costs on your 1099s as business expenses and let the irs sort it out, bookkeeping apps are just another way to waste time.

try the quickbooks add-on called method:crm, it automates tracking u-haul rentals and dolly depreciation without the hassle. set it up once and itll handle the 3-year straight-line stuff for you, saved me hours last tax season.

depreciating dollies feels like watching your back go out in slow motion, but hey, at least the irs lets you spread the pain over three years. quickbooks add-on called saasant saved my sanity last tax season, no more all-nighters with coffee and regrets.

try the jobber quickbooks integration for movers, it automates dolly depreciation over those 3 years and tracks u-haul hitches as equipment costs without the hassle.

quickbooks is a damn nightmare for depreciating dollies, i spent half my sunday night last week screwing around with it just to deduct a lousy $500 and still got it wrong, tbh.

quickbooks is a damn nightmare for tracking all that u-haul crap, doesnt even know what a dolly is half the time. the irs just loves screwing us small guys with their bullshit depreciation rules while the big corps get away with murder.

stuck with quickbooks manual entry for my u-haul costs and dolly write-offs for a year now, but i finally got it dialed in and shaved $800 off my taxes last return. feels damn good knowing every hitch and strap rental is tracked without the headache. switched to their mileage tracker add-on and it automates the depreciation like a boss. prolly saved my sanity tbh.

Fuck QuickBooks for service-based gigs like moving, it treats every truck rental like a one-off expense and screws your P&L reports every time. Switch to something like Jobber integrated with Xero, saved me hours on dolly wear and tear tracking without the BS.
