Just wrapped up this moving gig where the customer rented a U-Haul 20-footer from us, but halfway through loading their king-size mattress jammed the rear door track and we spent 3 hours fixing it. Total bill came to $1200 after all the labor and the cleanup, but the idiot scratched the hell out of the truck bed arguing it was our fault. Now they're refusing to pay the damage fee, and U-Haul's insurance is dragging their feet on the claim.

u-haul's insurance is a total scam, they drag their feet on every claim to screw over the little guys like us, just eat the loss and never rent to these clowns again.

sounds like the mattress was on a revenge mission against that poor u-haul. i once helped load one and the damn thing wedged so tight we had to call it a day and grab beers instead of fighting it. next time, just tell em it's customer error and let u-haul's slow insurance be the real punchline 😂

man, u-haul insurance is a total crapshoot, had a customer total one of their 10-footers last summer and i was still chasin the check months later.

damn that sucks, had a similar mess with a piano move last year and the client ghosted me for $800. chase it with a mechanics lien if you can, dont let em off easy.
