Been in the moving game for 8 years now, and out here in Arizona the heat makes every job feel like a marathon, but the real pain is chasing reviews from folks after we haul their crap across town. I've tried emailing a quick 'hey, how'd we do?' right after the move, but half the time they ghost me or leave vague 3-stars without specifics. We're a small crew doing mostly 2-3 bedroom houses, and those Google reviews are gold for pulling in new clients, but I hate coming off like I'm begging. Anyone else dealing with this in the residential side? Feels like we're busting our asses wrapping furniture in that blistering sun just to get ignored online.

goddamn homeowners act like leaving a review is harder than packing their own junk, we sweat our asses off in that arizona heat and they cant even hit 5 stars to keep the next crew from starving.

goddamn homeowners are the WORST, theyll let you sweat bullets hauling their junk in 110 degree arizona heat then ghost your review request like they got better things to do, makes me wanna scream every time.

dude, same shit here in landscaping, we bust our humps in that arizona heat too and folks just ghost on reviews like it's optional.

what's your go-to line when you hit 'em up right after unloading, or do you wait a day?

try handing them a pre-printed qr code card at the end of the move that links straight to your google review page, makes it dead simple and doesnt feel like youre hounding them.

text them a pic of their stuff safe in the new place with the review link. works 70% of the time without nagging.

nah that pic idea is gold, but watch out, one blurry shot and they think you damaged it.

don't send links right away, wait 3 days then slip it in a thank you note. less pressure.

just put a sign in the truck saying 'review us for a free beer next move' - half joking but it gets laughs and clicks.

screw the pushy part, bad reviews from non-reviewers are worse - one pissed off hoarder can tank your stars for months.

yeah reviews are a grind, especially when you're sweating through 100 degree days loading pianos.

fuck google and their algorithm BS, they bury you if you don't have 50 reviews a month from moves.

i'm over it too, spent a whole saturday following up on last month's jobs and got two one-stars for 'truck smelled weird'.

flat out ask in person while unloading - 'mind if i get a quick review? helps the crew' - controversial but my rate jumped 20%.

tried the in-person ask once and the lady said she'd do it later, never did. waste of breath.

i hear ya, it's demoralizing after wrapping up a flawless 4-hour move in the desert heat to get radio silence online.

exactly, feels like unpaid labor just to build rep.

start a referral chain instead, one happy customer brings two more who actually review.
