I just tried quoting a full house pack and move with Jobber, and it spit out a $800 estimate for a 3-bedroom that I know damn well costs at least $1200 in labor alone. The thing doesn't account for stairs or furniture weight right, and now clients are pissed when reality hits. Anyone else dealing with this crap in your moving bids?

man, jobber's estimates are total bs, i just got burned on a two bedroom move where it quoted $600 but we ended up pullin 10 hours with stairs and a piano that the damn thing didnt even flag. clients always flip when the bill doubles, and im left explainin why software aint perfect. been there so many times this month, feels like were workin for free half the time. shoulda stuck with pencil and paper quotes, atleast then its on me not some glitchy app. sucks how it screws us apprentices the most, tryin to learn the ropes without this headache.

yeah jobber's estimates are total BS for anything over a one bedroom, always undercuts the real labor. been there and had clients flip out when the bill hits double.

tweak the jobber template yourself by adding custom line items for stairs and heavy furniture, it'll bump that $800 up to realistic territory without starting from scratch. i usually factor in 20% extra for access issues like that, keeps clients from flipping out later. also, run a quick walk-through vid through jobber's notes section to document the stairs and weight upfront. that way, when the real quote hits $1200, they see why it ain't BS. been using this hack for a couple years now, saves me headaches on callbacks. if you're on the pro plan, the estimating API lets you integrate your own multipliers too.

jobber's like that one buddy who always lowballs the beer run and leaves you footing the tab for the whole damn party. clients show up with that $800 sticker shock and you're left explainin why their grandma's piano ain't free to haul up three flights.

jobber's just another greedy piece of software screwing us trades over with their half-assed estimates, making us look like idiots to clients.
