Had a client today who showed up with a U-Haul quote for $250 to move her two-bedroom place and expected my team to match it with our full-service crew and dollies. We quoted $650 flat rate for the same job, and she lost her shit, calling us price gougers. Guys, how do you deal with these cheapskates who think we're just glorified U-Haul drivers?

i turned a similar cheapskate into my best repeat customer by holding firm on my $700 quote for a full load-out and now she refers all her friends, feels damn good to know they get the value.

had one last week who wanted to haggle my $800 quote down to $300 cuz she saw some u-haul promo online, like my crew's not worth the gas we burn. these cheapskates think we're slaves to their google searches and it pisses me off every time. i just walk away now, life's too short for that bs. wont even bother explaining why we're double the rate anymore.

these cheap bastards think were u-haul with muscles and no brains, it's infuriating how they undervalue the sweat and liability we eat on every damn job.

don't ever match those u-haul quotes or you'll go broke faster than you can say bankruptcy, i saw a buddy drop his rates to compete and ended up owing his crew three months pay. stick to your $650, explain the labor difference flat out, or just walk away before she wastes more of your time. those cheap ones always nickel and dime you to death anyway.

these cheap bastards think we're hauling their crap for pennies while they sip coffee, but screw that, we ain't u-haul slaves. every damn time i get one of these, i just walk and let 'em regret it when their back's killing them.

those cheap bastards see a u-haul quote and suddenly think we're ripping them off for twice the work, pisses me off every time.

Hah, tell her to load her own crap into that U-Haul then, see how long she lasts without throwing her back out.

This is why I quit doing residential moves last year. Every job turns into a negotiation nightmare with these entitled folks. Now I stick to commercial gigs and never look back.

Flat out tell them U-Haul is for suckers who wanna do the heavy lifting themselves. Your crew's worth every penny over that.

Appreciate it, man. Might steal that line for the next one.

You're underquoting if $650 is your flat rate for a two-bed. I charge at least $900 minimum for that, and clients still try to haggle.

Man, I feel you on this. Last week a lady pulled the same crap, comparing us to U-Haul and walking out. Lost the job but dodged a headache.

Ugh, same crap here every weekend. These clients act like we're miracle workers for pennies.

Next time, break down the quote: $250 for the truck like U-Haul, plus $400 for your team's labor and insurance. Makes it crystal clear why you're more.
