Client in Atlanta flipped out over $1800 exterior job quote after I spotted their peeling Sherwin-Williams

Out here in Atlanta, I show up for what was supposed to be a simple repaint on this old ranch house, but the siding was already flaking bad from last year's botched job. Quoted em $1800 to strip, prime with Zinsser, and two coats of Emerald exterior, but the homeowner lost his shit, saying it's highway robbery when he could DIY for half. NGL, dealing with these cheapskates who skimp on prep and end up calling us back anyway pisses me off. Anyone else getting this crap more lately?
