Just wrapped up a full interior repaint on a 2500 sq ft colonial in the greater Atlanta area, and damn if it wasn't the most demanding homeowner I've dealt with in 8 years. She nitpicked every damn brush stroke on the Benjamin Moore Advance we used for the trim, kept changing her mind on the Sherwin-Williams Emerald color swatches for the walls, even had me redo the ceiling in the foyer because it 'looked uneven' from her weird angle. But I held firm on the $4200 flat rate we quoted upfront, no extras for her last-minute crap, and now she's posting pics on NextDoor singing our praises. Saw a similar rant in the Painting Contractors Facebook group last week about color-obsessed clients, and yeah, it's exhausting but satisfying when you come out on top. TBH, using that Graco HVLP sprayer saved my ass on the bulk work, kept everything smooth without the hassle. Finally hit my weekly quota early this month because of it. YMMV, but don't let them walk all over you.
