Out here in north jersey, I just dropped $1200 on a new Wagner control pro 250 that promised the world for interior jobs, but after two days spraying emerald urethane on cabinets, it's clogging every 15 minutes and the fan pattern is all over the place. TBH, I've been in the game 8 years and this thing feels like a toy compared to my old Graco Ultra 695 that lasted forever. Saw a post on r/paintingbusiness where guys were raving about Wagner for DIYers, but pros? Nah, it's BS. Someone in the Painting Contractors Facebook group mentioned the same issue last week, said they returned it and went back to airless. If you're doing real volume on trim or exteriors, don't waste your money. I watched that Idaho Painter video on sprayer tips and he basically said the same, Graco or bust for serious work.
god damnit, every time someone pushes these cheap wagner units, some poor bastard ends up with orange peel finish and a pissed off client. it's like the industry equivalent of buying a harbor freight tool for a daily driver.

haha right? my buddy tried one on a deck job and it spat paint like a drunk toddler. ended up hand brushing the whole thing at midnight.

yep, nothing worse than stopping mid-job to clean tips. kills the flow.

lol i once used a wagner on a quick flip house, thought id save time. ended up with more overspray than a fireworks show, had to tarp everything twice over.

get the graco magnum x7 if you're on a budget, handles 50 gallons a day no sweat and tips are easy swap. pairs great with sherwin williams duration for exteriors.

stick with airless for cabinets, set superheat right and you'll avoid 90% of issues. if wagner's giving you grief, check the filter screens too.
