Nearly dropped a full bucket of Benjamin Moore off the ladder today - heart attack

Up here in north Jersey, doing an exterior job on a two-story colonial, we were knocking out the trim with Benjamin Moore Aura paint, about $4500 total bid including all the prep and two coats. Me and my helper were up on the 24' Werner ladder, and I handed him the five-gallon bucket, but the damn thing slipped right through my fingers, plummeted straight down but hit a bush and didn't spill. Swear to god, if that had smashed on the driveway, we'd be out hundreds in materials and probably some lawsuit BS from the homeowner. FML, should've double-strapped it like I do in this windy area. Saw a similar close call posted in the Painters Lounge Facebook group last month, guys were ripping on the idiot who didn't secure his gear. Makes you think twice about rushing the setup.

damn man, ive had buckets tip over on me mid-spray, but that drop sounds like a nightmare. glad it missed the concrete, those bushes are lifesavers sometimes.
