I'm sick of cold calling homeowners for interior repaint gigs, half the time they hang up before I can even mention Sherwin-Williams Emerald. Door knocking neighborhoods feels like begging, and I've wasted hours prepping flyers that end up in the trash. Saw a post on r/paintingbusiness where someone said the same, but nobody had real fixes. Even tried emailing from HomeAdvisor leads, but they're mostly lowballers wanting quotes for $500 whole-house jobs. Anyone else dealing with this BS? It's like the trades are turning into telemarketers now. FML.

how do you even phrase the cold email without sounding spammy?

just say you're local and offering free color consults.

cold outreach is dead, focus on referrals from your Benjamin Moore suppliers instead.

don't bother with cold calls, you'll burn out fast, stick to networking events.

use nextdoor app for local posts, way better than blind outreach.

totally get it, the rejection stack is demoralizing after the first 50 nos.

SharkBite for plumbing but for painting cold outreach? nah, it's garbage, go digital ads only.

watch out for do-not-call lists, got fined once ignoring them on a campaign.

cold outreach sucks the life out of you, especially after a long day taping trim.

screw the homeowners who ghost, the whole system's rigged against small painters like us.

big warning: never leave voicemails that sound salesy, they block you instantly.

door hangers with before/after pics work better than calls, fight me on that.
