Just got hit with another claim denial from State Farm because the homeowner 'didn't disclose' some old water damage before we painted the exterior with Sherwin-Williams Emerald. We spent days prepping with their Duration primer, scraping and power washing the whole damn house, and now they're saying the underlying rot caused the peeling, not our work. It's collective rage fuel when you know you did it right but the insurance adjuster acts like we're the crooks. Had a similar run-in last year with Allstate on an interior job using Benjamin Moore Advance, and they dragged their feet for months. Someone in the Painting Contractors Facebook group mentioned using a public adjuster, but that sounds like more headache. Taxes on top of this crap make it even worse, eating into what little profit we squeeze out from these jobs. FML, how do you all deal with this nonsense without losing your mind?

Man, had a job where the claim went south because of bad photos, adjuster denied everything and left me holding the bag.

These companies are run by suits who never held a brush, they just want to deny claims to boost their bottom line. Pisses me off every time.
