Just got this residential repaint quote out for a 2k sq ft house, specified Benjamin Moore Aura for the trim and doors since they want that premium finish. Homeowner comes back saying it's too much at $2,300 including prep, two coats, and cleanup, but damn if I'm dropping the price on quality paint like that. Second time this week I've dealt with budget shoppers who pick fancy brands but balk at the total. Frustrated as hell with these picky newbies.

Homeowners like that are the WORST, always wanting luxury without the check.

I feel your pain, man. Lost a similar gig last month over $200.

Ugh, yeah it's exhausting explaining value to them.

Happens too often, especially with brand names.

Walked away from a $1,800 Benjamin Moore job last week, found a better client the next day.

Same here, these clients drain your energy before you even start.

You charging flat rate or T&M? Might help with pushback.

Stick to your guns, Aura's worth every penny for the durability.

Man, I commiserate, just quoted $2,500 for Emerald and they ghosted.

It's ridiculous how they undervalue pro work like this.

Dealing with this crap makes me want to go solo only, no more headaches.
