Man, I swear some clients are just looking for a fight. Wrapped up this interior job last week, used Benjamin Moore Natura because she specifically asked for low VOC stuff, zero complaints during the work. Two days later, she's blowing up my phone saying the walls look 'patchy' and wants a full redo, even though it's drying fine. Spent an hour on site reassuring her it's the primer showing through her cheap drywall, but nah, she wants perfection or her money back. Now I'm stuck debating if I eat the time or just walk away from these picky types. Watched this Idaho Painter video on handling diva clients, and he said document everything, but damn it's exhausting. Anyone got a script for shutting this down without losing your cool?
next time just tell her the patchy walls are abstract art and charge her extra for the 'modern vibe'.

i stick by benjamin moore natura on every low voc job and my clients rave about the zero odor finish, so dont let one diva make you doubt your pick.

tell her natura's been phased out for ecospec since 2021 but it's still zero-voc gold, snap pics of the walls under good light to prove it's her drywall not your work, then offer one touch-up coat only or walk with your deposit.

these entitled homeowners think theyre interior designers now, demanding freebies over some bogus 'patchy' bs after you already used what they wanted. screw em, document and tell her to pound sand or eat the $500 loss, its always the divas who cost ya the most.

these entitled clients are the WORST, always finding some bs excuse after you bend over backwards with that natura crap. screw em, i say walk away before they drag you down more.

these entitled homeowners are the WORST, always chasing perfection that doesn't exist just to screw over the guy bustin his ass. had one last month who flipped out over a single speck of dust after i used their fancy low voc crap, demanded a full redo like i was her personal servant. now theyre all armed with idaho painter videos and think theyre experts, makin us jump through hoops for nothin. its bullshit how theyll waste our time then threaten bad reviews if we dont cave. screw that, next time im walkin away before it turns into a total crap-show. pissed me off just readin your story, man.

been there with the picky clients who think every brush stroke's gotta be perfect, it's the worst. document like crazy and just eat the small stuff to keep your rep clean, but yeah, exhausting as hell.

don't redo a damn thing without photos of the job before she complained or you'll set yourself up for endless demands from picky clients like her.

send her a polite email with photos of the job before, during, and after, plus the product specs for benjamin moore natura's voc rating, and cc your lawyer if she's still pushing for a redo.

these picky homeowners make me wanna throw my brush through the wall, spent three hours on a redo last month for the same BS and still got a one-star review. id eat the time if its under a grand but document every damn thing or theyll screw you on the next job.

Screw that, just tell her the 'patchy' is her imagination and charge her double for the callback if she pushes. Half these clients test you to see if you'll cave.
