Man, subcontracting out these interior repaints has been a crap-show lately, especially with all the Benjamin Moore Advance we spec for trim work. I'm up in Minnesota and the winters mean we're stuck indoors half the year, so we line up a bunch of these jobs, but half the subs flake on prep or rush the coats and leave drips everywhere. Last one I had to fix cost me two full days chasing their mess, and the client was pissed thinking it was my crew. Been doing this 15 years, but dealing with unreliable subs makes me wanna go solo again. Anyone else tired of the back-and-forth? Feels like I'm babysitting more than painting. NGL, might start cutting them out for smaller gigs.

man, i started callin my subs the 'drip squad' after one guy left more paint on the floor than the walls... almost feel like i should charge em for the comedy show.

stop subcontracting interior work unless you vet em hard, i had a sub trash a whole kitchen reno with sloppy drywall muddin and it cost me 8k to fix the pissed off homeowner.

Subs are like that one buddy who always promises to show up for the group project but bails after drawing the logo upside down. Had one leave more drips than a leaky faucet, now i tell em 'prep like your paycheck depends on it' or hit the road.

dont sub out interior work unless you vet em hard, i had a guy flake on a minnesota remodel and it cost me 3k in callbacks plus the client sued over the botched trim. stick to your own crew or go solo, babysitting subs aint worth the headache.
