So I'm on this interior repaint in a tight condo, using Sherwin-Williams Emerald for the ceiling because the client wanted that low-VOC shine, quoted her $800 flat rate figuring it'd take half a day with my crew. Midway through, the roller starts spitting paint everywhere like a damn firehose, covers the guy's brand new IKEA couch in white blobs before I can even yell 'stop.' I spent the next two hours scrubbing that crap off while the homeowner's cracking up on the phone with his buddies, turns out he filmed the whole mess for his Insta story. Watched a similar screw-up on that Idaho Painter YouTube channel last week, but mine ended with free touch-up service and a killer review anyway. Moral of the story: always tarp the furniture twice over.

turned a paint disaster into a viral insta hit? that's the kinda win that keeps clients callin back. my crew once fixed a similar mess and scored a referral that bumped us $2k in jobs.

hell yeah, turned that disaster into a $800 win and a viral laugh? my crew had a similar roller explosion on a condo job last month, but i flipped it by posting the cleanup timelapse on my insta, scored two referrals outta it. proud as hell we always bounce back stronger with that emerald finish lookin sharp.

man, been there with the roller going rogue on a ceiling job, felt like i was in a bad comedy sketch scrubbing paint off everything. shoulda double tarped like you said, that in sta story sounds hilarious though lol.

double up on the plastic sheeting next time, but for emeralds i always thin it just a touch with 10% water to keep the roller from gunking up and spraying like that. saved my ass on a similar condo gig last month. and yeah, that idaho painter vid had the same tip, worth the watch if you havent rewatched it.

homeowners filming our screw-ups for insta clout is the worst, they act like we're the clowns in their personal circus. next time that happens i'm slapping a $200 social media surcharge on the bill just to piss em off.

tarping twice is for suckers, one good drop cloth and a quick wipe handles emerald drips way better than your overkill method, saved me hours on the last condo gig.

homeowners filming your screw-ups for insta stories is the worst, like they think we're their personal clowns and not pros trying to earn a living.

Don't ever skip the plastic sheeting under the drop cloths, man - had a drip hit a customer's laptop once and it fried the thing, cost me $1200 out of pocket to replace it. Lesson learned the hard way.
