Tried upselling a client on Benjamin Moore Advance for their kitchen repaint last week, quoted them $800 extra for the premium finish over basic latex. They loved the smooth application but then left a 3-star review complaining about the 'hidden costs' even though I explained the durability benefits upfront. Now I'm second-guessing if pushing brands like that is worth the reputation hit on Google.

stick to showing them a sample board with advance's self-leveling finish before quoting the $800 upcharge, that way they see the value in the furniture-like durability and won't feel blindsided.
