Had a commercial repaint job where the client insisted on Sherwin-Williams Emerald for that glossy finish, but the prep was crap from the previous painter and it started peeling in under six months. Filed an insurance claim for the $4500 callback to strip and redo everything, but the adjuster dragged their feet saying it was a 'pre-existing condition' even though I documented every damn step. Frustrated as hell, almost lost a good client over this BS.

Insurance adjusters are the biggest pain in the ass, always twisting words to dodge payouts. Been screwed on a similar claim last year, had to eat the whole $3k redo myself.

insurance companies are the WORST, always looking for any excuse to screw us on claims like that pre-existing BS. had a similar nightmare with a roof repair last year where they dragged it out for weeks claiming the damage was old even though i had photos from day one. these adjusters act like they know more about our work than we do, its infuriating. we gotta band together and push back harder on this crap.

adjusters dragging their feet? sounds like theyre auditioning for a role in 'the slowest claims ever'. i once waited three months for a $2k payout on a flooded basement job, ended up buying the client coffee just to keep the peace lol.

damn insurance adjusters are the WORST, always twisting words to deny claims like its their damn job. had a similar crap with a peeling emerald job last year and they called it 'poor workmanship' even after i sent pics of the shitty prep. ended up eating $3k just to keep the client from bolting. screw em, time to lawyer up on these bastards.

insurance adjusters are the WORST, always pulling that pre-existing crap to dodge paying out. had the same BS on a tile job last year and it cost me $2k outta pocket.

Man, that sucks - I've been there with peeling jobs eating into my profits too.

Try getting a pre-job inspection signed off by the client next time, saved my ass on a similar Sherwin-Williams gig.

Proud of you for pushing the claim though, most guys just eat the cost and move on.

Yeah, but the paperwork is endless, right? Took me three months on my last one.

Those adjusters piss me off, acting like they know more about paint adhesion than we do.

Document everything with photos before and after, that's what got my claim approved after a $3000 mess.

You're not alone, but don't let it stop you from quoting those big jobs.
