Man, had this nightmare client last week who called in a panic about carpenter ants infesting her kitchen cabinets. I did the full perimeter spray with Talstar P and baited the colony with Advion, explained it'd take 7-10 days to see results, but she expected them gone by morning. Been in the Chicago area my whole career and this is the third time this month someone's threatened to leave a bad review over unrealistic timelines. She's now ghosting my invoices for the $450 service call. Anyone else dealing with these entitled homeowners who think pest control is like magic? Saw a similar rant in the Pest Control Professionals group, but no real advice there.

How do you document your explanations to clients before treatment? Like, do you have them sign off on the timeline?

Fuck these clients, they're the reason insurance rates are through the roof for us. Every time one pulls this, it costs the whole industry. Time to start charging deposits on all jobs.

Deposits are a game changer, but yeah, the entitlement is killing me. Had a guy sue over bed bugs last year, total BS.

Same crap here, just bait and wait isn't fast enough for Karen. Lost a whole account over it.

Haha, tell her the ants are unionized and on strike, that'll buy you a week. NGL, I just laugh it off and move on to the next.
