Man, doing taxes as a solo pest guy is a nightmare, especially with all the quarterly estimates I gotta make for the IRS. Been spraying Talstar P and Termidor all summer for ant and termite jobs, and those deductions are supposed to help but the paperwork is endless. I'm down in Louisiana where the humidity makes bugs go crazy, so I use more product than most, but still end up owing. Anyone else in the game feel like the tax code is rigged against us small operators? Saw a thread on r/pestcontrol about mileage deductions for driving to rural bait stations, but it didn't cover the chemical storage costs. Edit: just found out about Schedule C for equipment like my Stihl backpack sprayer, might save a bit.

Same here, quarterly payments hit like a ton of bricks after a busy roach season.

Yeah, and don't get me started on tracking every gallon of bifenthrin.

Feels like we're funding the government with our sweat equity.

Ugh, Louisiana bugs mean double the product, double the tax headache.

Tell me about it, my accountant charges extra just for the ag exemption forms.

Taxes suck when you're out there in the heat baiting fire ants all day.

Feelin' that, especially with the new EPA regs adding to the write-offs.

Screw the IRS, they're bleeding us dry on every snap trap and glue board we buy. We need to band together and push back on these rates.

Damn right, private equity firms are snapping up pest companies and dodging taxes while we pay full freight.

This is BS, last year I got audited over rodenticide receipts and it cost me $2k in fees.

Watch out for those home office deductions on your mixing station, the IRS flags them all the time and it'll turn into a nightmare.

I hear ya, brother, been fighting the same battle with my termite bait system expenses.
