Been doing pest control for 15 years now, mostly residential termite jobs, and I'm tired of eyeballing estimates on the spot with nothing but a notepad. Saw a thread on r/pestcontrol last week about using digital quoting apps, but I still do it old school with a tape measure and moisture meter to check for tube damage. Just quoted a crawlspace inspection yesterday using the NPMA-33 form, but customers always push back on the $150 baseline fee without seeing the full report. Anyone using Jobber or something similar for termite quoting to make it faster and less error-prone? Watched a Roger Wakefield video on upselling during inspections, and damn if it didn't change how I present the scope. The key is getting the square footage right on active infestations, or you end up lowballing and eating costs later. NGL, it's a pain without good software.
man i feel that pain, quoting termites on the fly with just a notepad always turns into a crapshoot. shoulda switched to jobber years ago but i keep putting it off cuz the learning curve sucks. customers pushing back on that $150 fee is the worst part, like they dont get the report takes time to do right. been eating costs on lowballs too many times, makes you wanna quit eyeballin square footage altogether. whats your go-to for moisture meter readings during those crawlspace checks?

Man, I feel you on the notepad chaos, been there with my first few termite gigs and always underquoted the barrier treatment.

Don't even start with barrier treatments without a soil analysis, I saw a job go south last summer when the tech skipped it and the colony bounced back in months. Stick to pre-construction standards or you'll be back for freebies.
