Had this commercial client in central California, mostly ag and ranch work, call me out for a termite infestation in their old barn, thought it was gonna be a straight bait station setup with Sentricon but turns out the subterranean little bastards had tunneled everywhere. I upsold them on a full tent fumigation with Vikane gas, quoted it fair and they bit after I showed pics from a similar job last month. Crew knocked it out in two days, no leaks or issues, and now they've got me lined up for quarterly perimeter sprays around the whole property. Saw a similar rant on r/pestcontrol about pushy clients but this one turned into repeat business. Guy in the Pest Control Professionals group mentioned using that Roger Wakefield technique for sealing entry points, which saved my ass here.
smart move sealing those entry points with the roger wakefield trick, i've used it on a couple ag jobs and it cuts down fumigation time by a good 20%. next time try hitman termiticide for the perimeter sprays, holds up better in that central cal dust.

man, those subterranean bastards always turn a simple bait job into a full-on nightmare, glad you flipped it into repeat work tho

man i hate those jobs where the termites have tunneled so deep you think you're sealing entry points but they just pop up somewhere else, damn near lost a client last week over that bs.

those ag ranch clients always act like they know better than us pros, trying to nickel and dime every damn job til it blows up in their faces.

nice save on that tent job, but tell me you didnt have to chase the cows out first or somethin' ridiculous like that in cali ranch country.

sounds like you turned those tunnel rats into a gold mine, wish my last tent job hadnt ended with the client complaining the barn smelled like dead vikane for a week 😂

goddamn subterranean termites are the worst, they tunnel right through everything and turn a simple job into a nightmare unless you hit em hard with that vikane tent like you did.

Fuck these ag clients acting like they know better than us on fumigation protocols, always trying to cheap out on the Vikane tent. Had one last year demand I skip the aeration phase, nearly got us both fined by the state.

Damn right, but when you nail the job like OP did, they come crawling back for more. Just closed a $8k ranch contract off a similar turnaround, feels good to prove em wrong.
